About the Event
The UCSF Green Talk Series on Diversity of Whales and Whaling in Japan: Legal, Cultural and Ecological Perspectives was organized by Institute Borneo Studies (IBS)/ CRIM. The Green Talk Series aims to enhance and share ideas through contemporary issues on the environment, conservation, and sustainability.
An overview and explained the history of modern Japanese whaling for the last 110 years concerning the changes in lifestyles in Japan. Also highlighted the differences of Japanese whale meat foodways with the changes in lifestyles.
