On 15 July 2022, the UCSF-PETRONAS BeDigital Bootcamp Cohort #2 Kickoff Meeting was held at the Senate Meeting Room, Level 6, UCSF. Prof. Dr Junaenah Sulehan, Director of IBS who is also the UCSF’s Acting Vice Chancellor, chaired the meeting which was attended by guests from UMS (Dr. Mohd Azizul) and UiTM Sabah (Dr. Sharifah Nurafizah and Dr. Abdul Aziz Lai). Ms. Maria Teo, Ms. Intan Fariza and Mr. Mohd Lukman represented PETRONAS. Also present were Mr. Adie Azizan (SAD), Mr. Lawrence Alan Bansa (FNSS), four EXCO Members of the Student Representatives Council (SRC), and members of IBS. The objective of the meeting was to discuss the implementation of the BeDigital Bootcamp Cohort #2. The BeDigital Bootcamp is an initiative designed by PETRONAS with the objective of enhancing local talents’ employability before they join the workforce. During the meeting, PETRONAS’ representatives shared the success story of the first BeDigital Bootcamp involving 18 students from UMS. For the second cohort, PETRONAS and its organising partners are targeting the participation of students from UCSF, UiTM Sabah and UMS.
